The theme of the 5th Congress of Integrative Medicine ``Be Fully Healthy`` of the Małgosia Braunek’s “Be” Foundation and the Legia Foundation will be health in the context of connections. Within us and with those outside - with others, with the environment, with the surrounding nature and the world.
The co-organizer of the 5th edition of the Congress is the Legia Foundation, and the substantive partner is the Institute of Psychoimmunology IPSI. The congress will be held at the Legia stadium in Warsaw at Łazienkowska 3 Street, in the PREMIUM zone.
In an integral approach to health, the three basic aspects of functioning – body, spirit and mind – are inextricably linked and influence each other. Therefore, taking care of your health should cover each of them. Supportive social relationships and regular contact with nature are the next pillars (alongside diet, physical activity, healthy sleep, quality relationships, mental balance and stress reduction) without which we cannot talk about complete health in a comprehensive (holistic) approach.
Our health, both physical and mental, is shaped by the choices we make every day at the individual, social and environmental levels. A pro-social and pro-ecological approach in this context gains new meaning.
The inseparable and mutually reciprocal relationship with society, the environment and nature is a theme without which we cannot talk about building health in a truly integral way.
Why is this topic so crucial to our health today?
During the upcoming of the 5th Congress, we will look at ways to build health and internal balance in a way that is not far-fetched from the context in which we function. We will look at ecopsychology – the newest field of psychology and global therapeutic trends. We will discuss the broadly understood topic of working with trauma. We will focus on the connections, dependencies and symbiosis between us and the natural environment. We will learn why ecology and sustainable development are crucial both for the future of our health and the health of the planet. We will learn how regular contact with nature can strengthen our well-being, resilience and ability to function in the dynamically changing world of the climate crisis, pandemics, and Anthropocene (the era of environmental changes caused by human activity). What exactly should we do to support the environment, strengthen bonds and our own well-being?
Why “The World of Full Health”?
Since its establishment in 2015, the “Be” Foundation has been promoting an integrated approach to health and disease. We initiate and support cooperation between various fields of medicine by spreading substantive, reliable knowledge about comprehensive, integrated medicine and the need for holistic human treatment. Today we know that dialogue on health and supporting human potential cannot take place without understanding the impact of our immediate and distant environment on human well-being.
Health and promoting care for the natural environment have been among the topics that the Legia Foundation has been dealing with since its inception.
The theme of this year’s congress reminds us of the relationship between human health and nature, which we have forgotten about in the rush of civilization development. It will be a good opportunity to learn in a systematic way how to take care of your well-being by using the benefits of nature or returning to habits consistent with nature. And why caring for a healthy environment is unquestionably a priority topic for our civilization.
What can we expect?
Polish and global specialists will take a closer look at the ecosystem viewed as a wide range of issues related to mental, physical, social and environmental health. The lecture will cover topics related to building internal balance, working with trauma, therapies based on compassion, ecotherapy, strengthening mutual relationships with other people and nature, Buddhist psychology, and social activism.
Interactive lectures will provide the audience with expert knowledge and many practical tools that will organize knowledge and provide substantive support in times of information chaos, especially regarding health and a modern approach to ecology. The Congress’ program includes: dynamic lectures; workshops for adults and children held simultaneously; discussion panels; and exhibition halls.

The congress will be an opportunity to look from a broader perspective, see ourselves as part of a larger thing and at the same time, learn how to actively act in the face of the crises affecting us (ecological, social, psychological and health).
• How to build health wisely and comprehensively? What to take into account? Why is ecology so important in building health?
• What constitutes internal balance and mental health? How to support them in a way that takes into account the broad understanding of the ecosystem?
• Why is an active social attitude so important today? How can social responsibility translate into greater well-being at the individual level?
• What are the qualities of the environment that support us? How to observe them carefully? What can we do to actively care for the environment?
• What is the relationship between ecology, conscious consumer choices and human well-being?

Congress partners
The co-organizer of the 5th Congress of Integral Medicine is the Legia Foundation, and the substantive partner is the Institute of Psychoimmunology IPSI.
Taking care of a healthy body and physique directly translates into the state of our mind and emotions. Regular physical activity is one of the basic pillars of healthy functioning.
The Legia Foundation promotes this lifestyle, which is why it naturally participates in the organization of the Congress of Integrative Medicine of the “Be” Foundation.
Additionally, we were united by common activities against exclusion, supporting social dialogue and cooperation. In the face of the social and health crisis, internal balance and mental health are fundamental topics for us today.
The Institute of Psychoimmunology was established in 2004 as a response to the growing level of stress in Poland. It specializes in the prevention of stress overload and burnout, as well as in the treatment of stress-related and other diseases, in which the psyche plays a key role.
Who is the Congress meant for?
The Congress is an event for all those looking for reliable information in the field of modern prevention and interested in a healthy lifestyle. People for whom the “health of the world” we live is not indifferent, including activists, educators, and scientists. People suffering from cancer and chronic diseases – feeling lost, anxious and lacking broader knowledge about various methods of supporting treatment. Relatives of patients with cancer and chronic diseases – with a sense of helplessness and inability to support them. Medical environment – specialists, doctors, therapists.
